Senior Fiduciary Advisor in the Wealth Advisory office in Palm Beach, Fla. 
PALM BEACH, FLA — Wilmington Trust added two new senior hires to its Palm Beach wealth management office. Jonathan Fitzgerald was hired as a senior private client advisor, and Gerald Williston as a senior fiduciary advisor.
 
“Wilmington Trust has a long reputation for recognizing and adding top talent, and Jerry and Jonathan are no exception,” said Bob Bauchman, Wilmington Trust’s Florida market president. “Both Jerry and Jonathan come to us with an abundance of wealth management experience in the Florida market. We’re excited for them to join our team.”
 
Wilmington Trust, headquartered in Delaware, opened its first Florida office in Stuart in 1983. As demand for Wilmington Trust’s Wealth Advisory services grew in the market, it established additional offices in Palm Beach, North Palm Beach, and Vero Beach.
 
JONATHAN FITZGERALD
As a senior private client advisor, Fitzgerald provides wealth management advice to high-net-worth individuals and families, business owners, entrepreneurs, and foundations and endowments. He and his team work closely with clients and their advisors to develop financial strategies to help meet current needs, as well as plan for long-term objectives.
 
Prior to joining Wilmington Trust, Fitzgerald was in the private practice of law, advising high-net-worth individuals on their estate and federal taxation planning. Earlier in his career, he worked at the PricewaterhouseCoopers in its New York City banking and capital markets practice.
 
Fitzgerald earned a J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Notre Dame. He is a member of the Florida Institute of CPAs, and a member of the Florida Bar’s Tax Section, and the Real Property, Probate & Trust Law Section.

GERALD WILLISTON
As a senior fiduciary advisor, Williston manages the ongoing fiduciary needs of personal trust clients throughout Wilmington Trust’s Southeast markets. He helps to ensure that each trust is administered in strict accordance with its specific provisions, and trusts’ terms are carried out with the utmost fiduciary oversight.
 
He is part of the Advisor Solutions Group, which provides Wilmington Trust products and services to the professional investment advisor market. Williston’s new position is the first for the Advisor Solutions Group in the Florida market.
 
Williston joins Wilmington Trust with more than three decades of financial industry experience, a majority of which has been in wealth management and personal trust administration. Previously, he was a senior trust officer and team leader for Reliance Trust Company of Delaware in North Palm Beach, where he managed a team of trust officers. Before that, Williston worked in senior trust positions at Morgan Stanley Private Bank, Merrill Lynch, and Bank of America.
He received a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of South Florida, and is a graduate of the Dale Carnegie Institute.
