Wilmington Trust Adds Wealth Advisors in Palm Beach
Wilmington Trust, one of the leading wealth management companies headquartered in the U.S., announced today that it has added three professionals to its Wealth Advisory Services (WAS) office in Palm Beach, Fla.

“The continued expansion of our staff of wealth advisors reflects the growth in business in Palm Beach County and the increased demand for Wealth Advisory Services for high-net-worth individuals and families in Florida,” said Halsey Smith, managing director of Wilmington Trust, Florida. “We are pleased to welcome these talented professionals to our team.”

D. Jeffery Dever, vice president and private client advisor, joins Wilmington Trust with more than 25 years of finance and capital markets experience. He specializes in advising families with inherited wealth, corporate executives, owners of closely held business, and entrepreneurs.

Most recently, Dever was vice president and financial advisor with Bernstein Global Wealth Management. Previously, he served as partner for Tribridge, a strategic finance and management consulting firm, and was the founder of Savant, a technology, outsourcing, and professional services company.

Dever holds an MBA from the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship at Nova Southeastern University, and an undergraduate degree in international finance from the University of Miami. He is an active member of his community, having served on the board of directors of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County and the University of Miami Alumni Association Board.

Elizabeth S. Murphy, vice president and private client advisor, joins Wilmington Trust after 11 years as the sole practitioner in her own law firm, Elizabeth S. Murphy, P.A. Previously, Murphy served as assistant city attorney for the City of West Palm Beach and as general counsel and officer to VBH, a luxury bag and jewelry designer.

Murphy earned her Juris Doctor from Cornell Law School and an undergraduate degree from the University of Florida. She is an active member of the Cornell Club of Eastern Florida, the Palm Beach Civic Association, St. Ed’s Women’s Guild, and the Palm Beach Day Academy’s Gala Committee.

Jody E. Miller, assistant vice president and fiduciary officer, brings tax and estate planning experience to her position. She joins Wilmington Trust from Pressly and Pressly, P.A. where she provided analysis of income, estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax issues for litigation and estate planning.
Miller is a certified public accountant and a member of the Florida Bar Association. She earned both her Juris Doctor and LL.M in Taxation from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. Miller also received
a bachelor’s degree and a master of accounting degree from the University of Florida Fisher School of Accounting.
