Baltimore, MD - September 16, 2020-Wilmington Trust, a leader in wealth management and corporate and institutional services, announces that Kevin Burke has been promoted to the role of senior wealth advisor. Based in the Baltimore office, Kevin will be responsible for providing comprehensive wealth management advice to high-net-worth individuals and families, entrepreneurs, business owners, and foundations and endowments throughout the Maryland region. He will work closely with clients and their advisors to develop financial strategies that will help clients meet their current needs, and plan for their long-term objectives. Kevin also will develop customized plans for each client based on their unique needs with a focus on investment management, planning, private banking, trust and family office services.
Kevin has three decades of experience in the trust, investment, and banking industries, with particular expertise in managing investment portfolios for large family relationships, foundations, and charitable trusts. Kevin began his career at First National Bank in 1988 and joined M&T’s wealth management team in 1999. Previously, he oversaw the management of all client fiduciary accounts across Wilmington Trust, as well as supervised all centralized trustee functions.
Kevin holds a master’s degree in finance from Loyola University Maryland. He is the chair of the board of trustees of Mercy High School and was a key member of the school’s leadership search and transition teams. Kevin has been FINRA licensed since 1992 and holds his Series 7 and 24 securities licenses. He is also an immediate past board member of the CCBC Foundation and was chair of the organization’s board affairs committee. Kevin also sits on the board of trustees of the Chesapeake Shakespeare Company and is a graduate of the Greater Baltimore Committee’s The Leadership.
