John Shea
Wilmington Trust hired John E. Shea as a senior private client advisor for its Wealth Advisory team in Binghamton, N.Y., and can be reached at (607)779-5929.In his new role, Shea is responsible for providing comprehensive wealth management advice to high-net-worth individuals, families, entrepreneurs, business owners, foundations and endowments. He helps clients identify appropriate services based on their unique needs, including investment management, planning, philanthropic, trust, custom lending, and family office services.

Shea has over 20 years of experience as a financial professional. He most recently worked for BNY Mellon’s Asset Servicing business in Massachusetts where he was a senior consultant in their Global Risk Solutions group servicing defined benefit, and endowment and foundation clients. Before that, Shea held positions as a client relationship manager for ITS Associates in Wellesley, Mass., an auditor and portfolio accountant with State Street Bank, and a mutual fund accountant with SEI in Wayne, Pa.

He earned an M.B.A. from Boston University’s Graduate School of Management, and received his bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Scranton.
Shea is a member of the SUNY Broome Foundation Investment Committee, as well as the Investment Committee for Trinity Memorial Church. He is a board member of the Boys and Girls Club of Binghamton.
