Wilmington Trust Wins Two Awards at the US Captive Service Awards Ceremony
WILMINGTON, DEL—Wilmington Trust, N.A. was recognized with two awards for their service to the captive insurance industry at the US Captive Review Awards ceremony on Aug. 6. Wilmington Trust’s Insurance Collateral Solutions team accepted the top awards for “Collateral Service Provider” and “Insurance Linked Securities Support Services” during the Vermont Captive Service Association’s annual conference in Burlington, Vt.

This the third consecutive win for Wilmington Trust in the Collateral Service Provider category by US Captive Review, which organizes the competition. The award is given to a collateral service provider (letter of credit bank or trustee bank) that exemplifies service, responsiveness, and value in the captive industry across all U.S. domiciles.

The award in the Insurance Linked Securities (ILS) service category is given to the company that has shown outstanding service to the ILS industry, specifically captive insurance companies in the ILS space, including transformers, reinsurers, banks, and law firms.

“We are overwhelmed by the honors that we received,” said Robert Quinn, business development leader for the Wilmington Trust Insurance Collateral Solutions. “Winning one award validates our efforts to be the best we can be. Winning two is a further indication that we are doing the right things for our clients.”

This is the seventh year the US Captive Review Awards have been held, which recognizes the top providers of captive insurance services and products. A panel of judges reviews and selects service providers that outperformed their competitors and demonstrated the highest levels of excellence over the past year.

“We are very proud of our Insurance Collateral Solutions team,” said Jack Beeson, head of Wilmington Trust’s Global Capital Markets division. “As with all of our businesses, we’ve invested in the right people who can deliver the quality of service our clients deserve. We strive to hire the best and then give them the support they need to create the best service offering possible.”

The Insurance Collateral Solutions team offers collateral trustee services to multiple industries, including captive, corporate deductible, reinsurance, insurance linked securities (CAT bond and ILW), and surety.
