Wilmington Trust Announces Promotion of Heather Ford to Senior Wealth Advisor Serving the New York Region

Albany, NY–Wilmington Trust, a leader in wealth management and corporate and institutional services, announced today that Heather Ford has been promoted to Senior Wealth Advisor for the New York region.
Heather will be responsible for providing comprehensive wealth management advice to high-net-worth individuals and families, entrepreneurs, business owners, and foundations and endowments throughout the New York region. She will be working closely with clients and their advisors to develop financial strategies to help clients work to meet their current needs and plan for their long-term objectives. Heather will also coordinate the various services her clients may require based on their unique needs, including investment management, planning, trust, private banking, and family office services.
Heather previously served as a private banker for Wilmington Trust. Prior to joining the firm, Heather was vice president of Business Banking at KeyBank for 15 years, where she was responsible for analyzing the financial needs of business clients with revenues up to $20 million. Prior to KeyBank, Heather worked as director of Business Development for Schenectady Economic Development Corporation in Schenectady, NY, where she created loan packages for clients and helped them develop business plans.
Heather holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing/management from Siena College. She is an active member of the Capital Region community and is a past member of the Board of Advisory Trustees of Siena College. She is also a member of the board of directors of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Upstate New York and Vermont, and was named the organization’s Woman of the Year in 2009. She is a former member of the board of directors of the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce where she served as the chair of the Chamber’s Women’s Business Council in 2008.
Heather co-chaired the 2016 American Cancer Society’s Gala of Hope and is a long-time member of the executive committee and honorary committee for Women Against Multiple Sclerosis (WAMS).
