BOSTON — Wilmington Trust is expanding its Wealth Advisory team in Boston with the addition of Rick Tyson as a senior private client advisor. Tyson will provide comprehensive wealth management advice to high-net-worth individuals, families, entrepreneurs, business owners, as well as foundations and endowments throughout the Boston region.
Tyson has nearly three decades of experience in financial services. Prior to joining Wilmington Trust, he was a private client advisor at U.S. Trust in Boston. Before that, he was a senior vice president in the Investment Management and Trust division of Boston Private Bank & Trust. He also held positions at State Street Global Advisors, Fidelity Charitable, and was a leadership gifts officer at Boston College.
“Over the past few years, we’ve had the great fortune to bring on talented leaders with deep experience in wealth management, and Rick is no exception,” said Chris Casey, managing director and senior investment advisor in Wilmington Trust’s Boston office. “Rick will work diligently to help our clients manage their current financial situations, as well as plan for long-term objectives.”
Tyson received a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Lynchburg College.
He is active in the community serving as a trustee for Lawrence Academy in Groton, Mass., and is vice chair of the board of Junior Achievement of Northern New England. He also serves as director of communications on the board of the Planned Giving Group of New England. Additionally, Tyson coaches local youth soccer.
