Wilmington Trust Expands Capital Markets M&A Team

NEW YORK—Wilmington Trust expanded its Mergers and Acquisitions team in the Global Capital Markets division with three strategic hires. Laron Galea was hired as head of Product Planning and Development, Stuart Landucci as head of Sales Strategy, and Timothy Martin as senior relationship manager. The hires are part of Wilmington Trust growth strategy for its M&A escrow and paying agent practice.

Wilmington Trust has provided corporate trust services since 1972 through its Global Capital Markets division, and continues to grow its business both in the United States and internationally. The division has dramatically grown its mergers and acquisitions practice in recent years, offering escrow agent, disbursement agent, and paying agent services, as well as investment options and 1099 tax reporting services.
 
LARON GALEA, Head of Product Planning and Development
Prior to joining Wilmington Trust, Galea worked at Deutsche Bank, where he was global Escrow Solutions sales head for the past four years. He started at Deutsche Bank in 2003, and has experience in trust and securities services business development and investment banking relationship management.
 
He received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Hofstra University. He also has a Series 79 license for investment banking.

STUART LANDUCCI, Head of Sales Strategy
Landucci also comes to Wilmington Trust from Deutsche Bank, where he was the sales head for Global Debt Services. In his 16 years at Deutsche Bank, he was also sales head for Structured Finance Services, Corporate Trust, and Securities Services in the bank’s London and New York offices. Landucci also acquired corporate trust experience at Bank One, Citigroup, and Chase Manhattan.
 
He graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Finance from Suffolk University. Landucci holds the designation of Certified Corporate Trust Specialist by the American Bankers Association.

TIMOTHY MARTIN, Senior Relationship Manager
Martin joins Wilmington Trust from Wells Fargo, where he was a vice president with business development and account administration responsibilities since 2004. Previously, he held various corporate trust roles at JP Morgan including senior account executive and corporate trust administrator.
 
He earned a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Bradley University. Martin is also a Certified Corporate Trust Specialist by the American Bankers Association.
