Charlotte Glinski Philips named Private Banking team leader, Ilyssa Clay joins as senior private banker, Lydia Wolf hired as senior private client advisor, Lauren Wallace joins as investment advisor, and Iffy Akwule as investment associate
WASHINGTON, DC—Wilmington Trust has expanded its Wealth Advisory team in the Washington-Baltimore market with a series of new hires. Charlotte Glinski Philips joined the Baltimore office as team leader for Private Banking* for the Mid-Atlantic region. Joining Wilmington Trust’s Washington, D.C. office is Ilyssa Clay as senior private banker, Iffy Akwule as investment associate, Lauren Wallace as investment advisor, and Lydia Wolf as senior private client advisor.

CHARLOTTE GLINSKI PHILIPS
In her role as team leader for Private Banking services in the Mid-Atlantic region, Philips oversees the delivery of custom credit and banking solutions to Wilmington Trust’s wealth clients throughout the region. She also coordinates a broad range of services in partnership with Wealth Advisory teams including investment management, planning, trust, and family office support.

Philips joins Wilmington Trust from U.S. Trust, where she was senior vice president and private client manager for over a decade. Before that, she was an analyst in Wachovia’s Capital Markets Group. Earlier in her career, she worked at the New York Stock Exchange, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and the U.S. Department of Treasury.
She earned an MBA with a concentration in Finance from the University of Maryland, and a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Georgetown University.

ILYSSA CLAY
As a senior private banker, Clay provides strategic advice, personalized service, and tailored credit and banking solutions to wealth management clients through M&T Bank. These services include bridge financing, residential and investment real estate financing, and specialized asset?backed facilities secured by investments, art, yachts, and aircraft.
Prior to joining Wilmington Trust, Clay was a senior banking advisor at PNC Bank for 10 years, where she worked with high-net-worth families. Before that, she was a business banking relationship manager, also at PNC Bank.
Clay received a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and International Business and a minor in Dance and International Studies from Penn State. She holds the Certified Financial Planner™ designation, and was named a Top Money Advisor by Washingtonian Magazine.
She is active in the community volunteering for Junior Achievement of Greater Washington, where she serves as a member of the Associate Leadership Council. She also teaches ballet at the Falls Church Community Center.

LAUREN WALLACE
As investment advisor, Wallace is responsible for developing investment portfolios for high-net-worth clients based on their unique financial objectives. She monitors and periodically rebalances client portfolios to reflect their evolving financial needs.
Prior to joining Wilmington Trust, Wallace held various financial analyst roles at JPMorgan Chase in its private and investment banks. Earlier in her career, she worked at Penn Mutual as a financial advisor.
Wallace received a master’s degree in Financial Services from the Erivan K. Haub School of Business at Saint Joseph’s University. She also earned her bachelor’s degree in Finance from Saint Joseph’s.

LYDIA WOLF
In her role as senior private client advisor, Wolf provides wealth management advice to high-net-worth clients including families, entrepreneurs, business owners, and foundations and endowments. She works closely with clients and advisors to develop financial strategies to meet current needs and plan for long-term objectives.
Wolf has more than three decades of experience advising both commercial and individual high-net-worth clients. Prior to joining Wilmington Trust, she was a senior private banker and advisor at Wells Fargo. Before that, she was worked at Capital One in leadership roles advising high-net-worth families, professional practices, and government contracting businesses and owners. She began her career on Wall Street working in international corporate banking.
She earned an MBA in Finance from Adelphi University, and a bachelor’s degree in Business from the Mount Vernon College.

IFFY AKWULE
As an investment associate, Akwule works with investment advisors, analyzing portfolios, preparing materials for client meetings, and supporting the portfolio management process.
Prior to joining Wilmington Trust, she worked at Moody’s Investors Service as an associate analyst in the Structured Finance Ratings Group.
Akwule received an MBA from the Yale School of Management, and a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Economics from Columbia University.
