Wilmington Trust Hires Ela Hakiel as Private Client Advisor for Rochester Wealth Office

ROCHESTER, NY—Wilmington Trust appointed Ela Hakiel as private client advisor for its wealth advisory office in Rochester. She will provide comprehensive wealth management advice to high-net worth individuals and families, business owners, entrepreneurs and foundations and endowments throughout the Rochester Region. In her new role, Hakiel works closely with clients and their advisors to develop financial strategies to meet client’s current needs and plan for long-term objectives.

 
Hakiel has over a decade of financial management experience. Prior to joining Wilmington Trust, she was a senior wealth advisor with Tompkins Financial Corp. Earlier in her career, she worked as a global investment specialist at JP Morgan Chase Private Bank.
 
She earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Rochester, as well as an MBA from the university’s Simon School of Business. She currently serves as the vice chair of the executive committee of Compeer Rochester, as well as on the stewardship committee for the Bivona Child Advocacy Center. In 2017, Hakiel was featured in the Rochester Business Journal’s “Forty Under 40” List.
