Executive Managing DirectorFisher was previously division manager for Global Finance within Wilmington Trust’s Global Capital Markets Group. He will now oversee the development and expansion of Wilmington Trust's ICS services in Europe, which includes all aspects of sales, service, and operations. Fisher will be based in the company’s European headquarters in London.
Christophe Schroeder, who previously held the position of executive managing director of ICS in Europe, will now focus on international business development and strategic growth opportunities in his new role as managing director of Corporate Development for the Global Capital Markets Group. Schroeder will explore acquisitions, joint ventures, and recruiting initiatives to expand Wilmington Trust’s global team of specialized industry experts.
“The advanced appointments of Dan and Christophe are part of Wilmington Trust’s continuing commitment to expand our services and products to our institutional clients in Europe and beyond,” said Jack Beeson, head of Wilmington Trust’s Global Capital Markets Group. “The global demand for our conflict-free and impartial expertise continues to grow exponentially.”
Over the past decade, ICS expanded its teams of experts in loan administration, corporate restructuring, mergers and acquisition, high-yield debt issue services, tender option bond services, insurance trusts, and project and equipment finance to match marketplace demand. Wilmington Trust’s growth is also bolstered by changes in the competitive landscape which led to new client acquisitions and increased demand for ICS’s conflict-free services for refinancing and restructurings beyond the U.S. market.
In 2010, Wilmington Trust launched their “One Global Model” initiative to further expand the company’s line of products and services to international clients. Global demand for Wilmington Trust’s services has grown dramatically since opening an office in London in 2002. The One Global Model has made it easier for multinational clients to combine the advantages available in multiple jurisdictions with the convenience of working with Wilmington Trust as a single service provider.
The success of Wilmington Trust’s One Global Model has led to multiple appointments to manage high-level transactions related to the European financial crisis.
